Wheaton Drama members saddled up for an evening of food and fun with family and friends at the Wild West Kickoff Party on August 28, 2010. The weather was perfect and the food bountiful. The evening was exactly what our volunteers needed to fortify them for the many exciting adventures on the 2010-2011 season trail. Yeehaw! The Drowsy Chaperone rehearsals are in full swing, and rumor has it that Tracy Adams’ choreography is pretty intense. If you saw Chicago last spring, you know that Tracy’s work is amazing: energetic, sexy, and always entertaining, she helps bring the music to life through the movements of the actors. There’s a little curiousity as to what tricks she has up her sleeves this time. Our secret agent and crack photographer has smuggled a few choice shots out of a recent rehearsal. (more…)

This summer’s Children’s Workshops and Shows were an incredible success, thanks to the hard work of Cindy Bolds and her talented crew of assistants and instructors. Wheaton Drama, Inc. (WDI), held its annual Colby Awards celebration August 7 at Playhouse 111. The Colby Awards are named in honor of Colby Jones, a longtime WDI member who passed away in 1996. The Awards recognize members for their outstanding contributions backstage and behind the scenes. (more…)
