Stan Austin

STAN AUSTIN (Director) – More frequently seen on stage than off at Wheaton Drama, this is Stan’s first directorial effort here. He was production manager for Play It Again, Sam and assistant director for Into the Woods. Elsewhere he has directed seven State Award winning short plays in IHSA competitions involving his students at Wheaton North, including the State Championship play Bang, Bang, You’re Dead. He recently retired as Head Speech Coach at WNHS after 28 years in that role. Many thanks to the board of WDI for this opportunity, and to wife, Jean, for being his partner in this show and in life.
