Steve Schroeder Onstage at Wheaton Drama, Steve has performed in The Nerd (Walgrave), They’re Playing Our Song, The Fantasticks (El Gallo), Lucky Stiff, How to Succed in Business Without Really Trying, A Year with Frog and Toad (Frog), The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldolpho), Broadway Gems, It’s a Wonderful Life, Mad Mid Mod Musicals, Enchanted April (Frederick), Hairspray (Edna). He has also directed for Wheaton Drama 110 in the Shade, Man of La Mancha, City of Angels, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and served as Production Manager for Chicago, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, The Last Five Years. He can also be frequently found behind the lighting board or at the front door ushering. Steve has also served Wheaton Drama on the Board of Governors as Vice President and numerous stints on the Musical Play Reading Committee. Outside of Playhouse 111, Steve performs with numerous improvisational and sketch comedy groups around the Chicagoland area, having trained with The Second City and ComedySportz. He also served on the Joseph Jefferson (Jeff) Committee, who recognizes and awards excellence in Chicago theatre. By day, Steve is a proud Professor of Speech Communication at College of DuPage.
