Register NOW for Late Fall Kid’s Workshop!
Sunday, September 30th, 2018STUDENTS “ACTING IT UP” AT WHEATON DRAMA
1st Grade Through 8th Grade Classes
A six week workshop designed to strengthen the acting “muscle”. Through acting games and exercises, each week students will work on a different aspect of acting technique such as movement, voice, characterization, pantomime, plus others. Teamwork, focus and listening are added benefits in this acting workshop. Students will also work on a short 15 min skit to apply the skills learned and will perform at the end of the last class. Session will be posted throughout the year as they become open for registration (roughly a month before the class starts).
All sessions will be on Tuesday afternoons at these times:
Grades 1 – 4: 4:00 p.m. until 4:55 p.m.
Grades 5 – 8: 5:00 p.m. until 5:55 p.m.
Tuition: $100 per session per child

Late Fall Session: October 30 – December 11 (Make Up December 18 – Note no class November 20 due to Thanksgiving) Registration Now Open!
Winter Session: January 8 – February 12 (Make Up February 19)
Spring Session: March 5 – April 9 (Make Up April 16)
Late Spring Session: April 30 – June 4 (Make Up June 11)
Note: Classes are subject to change based on enrollment. Registration for each class will be open one month before the class begins. If there are not enough students enrolled in any given session then the class may be cancelled. Notification of a cancelled class will be sent out one week prior to the start of class and all money will be refunded. Registration for classes close the sunday before class begins.
Staff: All staff are certified teachers who go through extensive background checks each year.

WDI CHILDREN’S SUMMER WORKSHOP
BEGINS JULY 9!
Do you know a child who enjoys theatre and wants to learn more about performance or technical skills? Wheaton Drama workshops will help build confidence by giving the attendees first hand experience in creating a live production. Your child will learn how teamwork works in building a theatrical presentation…besides having fun and making new friends. The place to be this summer is Wheaton Drama’s Playhouse 111.
PERFORMANCE THEATRE
Grades K-5 (half days): July 9-14, 2018 (choose MORNING or AFTERNOON)
Grades 6-12 (full day): July 16-21, 2018 (bring a sack lunch)
TECHNICAL THEATRE

Teamwork, focus and listening are added benefits that youngsters can derive from this workshop.
To apply the skills they’ve learned, students will also rehearse a short 15-minute skit to be performed at the end of the final class.
New sessions will be posted throughout the year as registration opens (roughly a month before the class starts).
All sessions will be on Tuesday afternoons at these times:

Grades 5–8: 5 p.m. to 5:55 p.m.

Staff: Cindy Bolds is excited to join us again this year as our after-school instructor. Cindy is a longtime WDI member who taught most of the after-school classes last year. She is a certified teacher’s aide.
